i don't know what to do with this. 'tis pointless. i have a BLOG, for crying out loud. and i can chuck whatever photos i like on said blog. and write whatever i want to on it. and chuck large chunks of text aka fanfic that i like on it. and provide links to pages. (which i can't do here).

so here i am, writing crap, because it's January the First. that is supposed to mean something. like, the start of a new year. resolutions, and all that rubbish.

at the start of 2008 i actually promised myself to be guai and mug really hard. which i did for semester1. i actually did! and then sem2 got to be bloody tiring and annoying and a gigantic pain in the arse, and everything sorta fell apart.

haha anyway one of my resolutions will be: if my dad talks to me i chinese, i will actually reply him in the same language. throughout the conversation. because it's always him talking in chinese and me replying in english, and that's bad cos now my chinese oral skills are shot to hell. and i have Os to consider. so yes. reply in chinese to my dad.

two. work on my communication skills. apparently i speak too fast for my mum and dad to catch. actually, that's probably i speak english too fast for them to catch-- they seem to do fine when i speak chinese at that speed. (but that means i have to spend around 4 seconds mentally constructing my sentence before i say it, and that's not what a normal person does)

and let me relate a little episode at macs. me and a couple of pltnmates were getting icecream. i forgot what i was trying to ask the person behind the counter, but she couldn't understand me. so naturally, i slowed down and spoke clearer. she still went 'huh'?

and then joo stepped in and spoke chinese.
